The thousand pound golden phone
If you're looking for a phone with more 'bling' than ring (and maybe have a bit more money than sense), look no further than the Nokia 8800 Sirocco Gold. Coated in eighteen-carat gold with white gold accents, this has to be one of the most extravagant pieces of disposable technology out there.

Despite a ridiculous £999 price tag, it only sports the basic features you would expect from aan everyday phone such as a two megapixel camera, MP3 player and Bluetooth. If only Nokia had pimped one of its more functional models. The standard 8800 phone's technical specification is inferior to regular Nokia models such as the Nokia N95; clearly this phone is for a collector rather than a normal phone user.
Nokia boasts the sexy 8800 Sirrocco is made of parts similar to those in luxury cars for its sliding mechanism and has a scratch resistant "sapphire-coated" screen. The reality is that bragging about these features would definitely make you less attractive to the opposite sex.
Fresh from the Fergalicious school of glamorous, this handset doesn't look as classy as seen in the clever photography in real life and if you were to pull it out in a bar or club to show off your enormous wealth, you'd probably be mugged in minutes. Then again, if you had a thousand pounds to spend on a mobile phone, that's not going to stop you, is it?
