LG's got a secret
LG just launched a lovely new phone; the Secret. It's the third of launches its third Black Label Series, after the Chocolate and the Shine, which are among the most classy phones on the market right now.

LG says the new phone is all about sophisticated, classic and timeless style in a durable format. They're not wrong, it's the Lucy Liu of mobile phones, sleek, beautiful and as tough as nuts. The semi-touch screen handset is just 12mm thick and is encased in carbon fibre (like mega-posh sports cars) and tempered glass (like mega-posh watches).
When it comes to durability, not all of us drop phones on concrete or down toilets, but everyone seems to be scratch prone after storing a mobile in a handbag or pocket alongside keys and phones.
We had to be one of the first to try scratching it and the screen did resist a quick bit of abused dished out by a handbag full of abrasive everyday objects. Watch this space for a full on durability test once a Secret lands in the Canvasmag in-tray.
It isn't just a pretty face; LG is well known for mixing adding style to substance. This phone is packed with useful and fun features.
There's a great video feature that lets you overlay soundtracks and splice shots together while you film. The phone's got a gyroscopic thingy, so it knows which way you've tilted it. This means it automatically displays video and pictures in widescreen when you turn the phone, but it's also got some really addictive wii-style games.
It's got intelligent light-sensing technology that automatically adjusts the screen brightness. In fact, there's so much to say, you'll have to wait for the full review.
